In Fact, all these buildings were built by award-winning architect Frank Gehry.  Frank Gehry has spent more than half the century designing places that are both architectural unique but are functional and works of art. 

 

History of 360 Newbury Street

360 Newbury Street was built in 1918, and Prior to it being a luxury loft style condo building, it was in fact home to both Tower Records and Virgin Records. On June 4, 1999, was declared J. Geils Band Day in the city of Boston by Mayor Menino. J. Geils Band were presented with a star on the Walk of Fame along with the former Tower Records in Back Bay Boston. In 2006 it was converted to 54 luxury condos offering stunning Back Bay Views. Frank Gehry, is considered one of the greatest architects of our time. Frank Gehry designed the iconic signature cantilevered canopy of the building.  Most of Frank Gehry work is on the West Coast, but in Massachusetts, we have one other building that was designed by Frank Gehry at MIT.
