Saving Money Tips When Decorating Your Home

Saving money is a goal everyone typically has. Who likes to pay full price for something? Doesn’t everyone like to save money? I know I like to save, and in real estate, for 18 years I have tried to save clients money.  It doesn’t matter if you are renters, buyers, sellers, or landlords. I like to save people money and time. Seriously who doesn’t love a deal? In late 2023, I began part-time work at CB2 and discovered their excellent products, along with exclusive deals not promoted online. You will only find them going into your local store. There is nothing wrong with these items. It’s a way to get items out of the store floor so new products can come out. Savvy customers can find great new, exciting products.  Here are ways you can save BIG when decorating that new or existing home.

 

 

 

Floor Sample 

1. Floor Samples Look for a Giant Tag that says Floor Samples. Floor Samples can save you big money.  Floor Sample the store manager discounts heavily and continues to discount them each week by 10%. The snag lies in the fact that heavily discounted items require in-store pickup, without shipping or delivery options provided. Discounts on items are deep. You can examine it in-store and purchase it on the spot, or you can call the store. If the item is in stock, you can opt for a phone purchase, and the store will furnish you with the most recent store pickup date.  You need to get the item out to secure the deal though. The store will not set up shipping or delivery for you. You cannot combine the discounted item you purchase with any other promotions the store currently offers. I have put March 2024 items that are floor samples that you can check out at the CB2 Fenway location.

Trade Discount 

1. Another avenue for saving is by leveraging trade discounts. If you’re an interior designer or know one, simply inform them of a non-sale, non-floor item. With a trade account, they can avail of a 20% discount on their purchase, ideally extending the savings to you. These discounts are applicable across Crate and Barrel, CB2, and CB2 Kids, and signing up is relatively straightforward.

Just Moved discount 

1. To further save while shopping at CB2 and Crate and Barrel, consider utilizing their just-moved discount of 15%, tailored for recent movers to the area. This discount excludes sale and clearance items. The item must be a full-price item. You can sign up through your phone instore or online through the company website 

Just Launched Registry 

1. The last way you can save money is if you are getting married, having a housewarming party,  or having a baby shower. If you create a registry for CB2 and Crate and Barrel, for the first six months, your friends and family receive a 15% discount on items purchased through the app or online registry. This discount does not apply to items already on sale or clearance. Orders over $49.00 include shipping.
