Harpoon wants everyone to feel included. Your four-legged friend can get into the fun on dogobterfest. Dogtobterfest on Oct 3rd tickets are available online. 1 mile walk/run and after the exercise done your pouch and you can make your way to the barking lot where humans can enjoy some Harpoon Beer and the four-legged friends can enjoy some dog brew which contains no alcohol or carbonation.

Wachusett Mountain
Wachusett fun is not just for wintertime. Fall is a great time to take in Wachusett which is located at 499 Mountain Rd in Princeton MA. Wachusett Mountain has two fall events Oktoberfest on Oct 2nd and 3rd. Check the website for all details to attend the events. Applefest is a family-friendly event and offers live music, demos, food trucks, take the chair lift up at either event and take in the fall colors.
Annual Apple Harvest Day
Located in Dover MA this event is family-friendly and offers fun for everyone from 5K, Live music and entertainment, all different types of food and there will be 300 vendors at this event. Oct 2nd this event takes place and please check the site for more details.
Head of the Charles is a two-day event, and not really a festival. It is festive. This event dates back to 1965. 11,000 athletes compete in this world-class event that takes place on Charles River. You will see colleges from around the country compete in this event. Live music. It is encouraged that folks take mass transit this weekend. Dining in the area often gets in the spirit as well. It is recommended to check dining regulations regarding covid vaccine status. Some businesses have required people to be vaccinated to come into their place of business.

White Mountain Oktoberfest
Located at Loon Mountain in Lincoln New Hampshire. There is fun for all ages. Fun and games, live music, Moutain Yoga, Preseason Ski pass avail for purchase, Gondola and chairlift rides, Mountain Biking, and hiking. It can’t be called Oktoberfest with beer and Sam Adams has you covered. Oktoberfest at Loon is Oct 9th and 10th. Check the website for additional details.
Waterville Valley Fall Foliage Fest
Located at Waterville Valley ski resort in New Hampshire. There is fun for the fitness enthusiast with 5K. What Festival doesn’t have Live music to enjoy. Take the chairlift up the mountain and enjoy the fall foliage. Preseason tickets avail for ski season. Waterville Valley Fall Foliage fest takes place 10/9-10/11
New Hampshire Brewfest in Portsmouth New Hampshire is perfect for the person who loves craft beer. The event is located on Cisco Brewers Grounds in New Hampshire and offers Craft beers from multiple breweries, Food, and music. The event takes place on 10/9 and check the website for details. Many events this year have covid rules one must adhere to.

Sunday River Fall Fest
Fall Fest in Newry Maine has fun for all ages and even your four-legged child is welcomed at this weekend event. Most folks arrive at this event Friday night and settle in by checking out a live band or enjoying some shipyard brewery beer around a firepit. Saturday is the first day and you can find live music, a shipyard brewery tasting tent along with wine tasting where you can relax with friends in oversized Adirondack chairs and just catch up or laugh or watch in sheer amazement watching the wife-carrying contest. You can take a chair lift or gondola and enjoy the view. You can hike down the mountain or take a lift down. Plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails to take advantage of. Whoever you bring on October 9th and 10th they will find something to enjoy themselves.
Fall Foliage Festival 2021 at booth bay railway
Located in Boothbay Maine this event has fun for all ages. Live music, crafts, train rides, antique cars, local and regional artists, and food from the region. Fall Foliage is in its 53rd year and takes place on Columbus day weekend on Oct 9th and 10th. Check the website for all details.
Damariscotta Pumpkin Fest and Regatta
Located in Damariscotta Maine and this event takes Pumpkins to a new level. Damariscotta is sheer fun for young and old. If you make the trip to Damariscotta you could see Pumpkin Paddle Relay, Pumpkin motorboat regatta, pumpkin catapulting, pumpkin hurling, pumpkin parade, and pumpkin derby. This unique event takes place from October 8th to 11th.
Freeport fall festival takes place in Freeport Maine and offers something for everyone. All ages. Artist and makers, live music, food, and fresh oysters. This event takes place October 1st to October 3rd and is located at 115 Main St in Freeport Maine.
Remember when the season changes it reminds us all change can be a good thing. Taking stock in your life and figuring out what you can do without and what you realize is more important in life. Life is meant to be lived if that means a random road trip to New Hampshire Mountains or a trip to the Cape.
