Boston is an expensive place to call home whether you’re looking to rent or buy a home it’s not easy for anyone on the hunt, but especially for first time home buyers looking to break into the market to buy, but it’s not impossible to find house or condo. If you are a House Hunter looking for a home to buy under $500,000 Here are some properties on market in Boston. If your wondering what it would equal in monthly rent I have done the breakdown for you, but keep in mind the monthly breakdown doesn’t include taxes and Private mortgage insurance and some other expenses, but hopefully it will give you an idea what you can afford if your in the market to buy a two-bedroom in Metro Boston. Maybe you don’t want to look in Brighton but want to stay under 400,000 then maybe you should look at East Boston. East Boston is no longer what it used to be. Developers are coming into the area and building a luxury condo and with its close approximately to Downtown Boston, Logan Airport, water taxi makes the morning commute a lot easier especially in warmer months.

All of these home mentioned in the blog are currently on market and are based on the current mortgage rate of 4.27 and many times you can find better rates based on your credit and income. Calculations are also based on a home buyer putting only 5% down and doesn’t include taxes, private mortgage insurance, and other fees a home buyer is often hit with, but talking to a mortgage broker is a great first step in figuring about what the rough costs will be, and there are plenty of home buying programs the first time home buyers can take advantage of.
